Payment Over the Telephone
You may pay secured, supplemental, escape, and redemption property tax bills over the telephone by calling 1-800-890-1950. A credit card or debit card is accepted over the telephone. Please click here to view the convenience fee chart for telephone payments.
Payment By Mail
The envelope containing your tax bill also contains payment stubs for each installment and two preaddressed envelopes that ensure prompt handling of your payment. Checks and money orders should be made payable to SF Tax Collector and should have the Block and Lot Number written on them. Your canceled check or money order stub serves as your receipt. NEVER SEND CASH. Be sure to mail early so that your envelope is postmarked before the delinquent date. The mailing address is:

Payment In Person
You may pay your property taxes in person at the Office of the Treasurer & Tax Collector. We are located at:

- Acceptable forms of payment in person include the following:
- Check, Money Order, or Cashier's check
- Cash
- Discover Credit Card (Please note: this is the only credit card accepted in person)

Wire Transfer Payment
Pursuant to California Revenue and Taxation Code section 2503.2, if you plan to make a payment of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) or more on either secured taxes or unsecured taxes, you are required to make your payment via Wire Transfer.
