July 1

Beginning of Property Tax Year

The property tax year is based on a fiscal year. For example, for the 2009 -2010 year, the year began on July 1, 2009.

Secured Property Tax Bills Are Mailed

December 10*

First Installment of Secured Property Tax due

To avoid penalties, payments must be received in our office by 5 p.m. or postmarked by this date or completed online by 11:59 p.m. by this date.

Payments not received by this date become tax delinquent.

April 10*

Second Installment of Secured Property Tax due

To avoid penalties, payments must be received in our office by 5 p.m. or postmarked by this date or completed online by 11:59 p.m. by this date.

Payments not received by this date become tax delinquent.

June 30**

End of Property Tax Year

The property tax year is based on a fiscal year. For example, for the 2009 -2010 year, the year will end on June 30, 2010.

Secured property tax payments that are not received by this date become tax defaulted.

* If either December 10 or April 10 falls on a weekend or holiday, taxes are not delinquent until 5 p.m. the next business day.

** If June 30 falls on a weekend or holiday, taxes must be paid by 5 p.m. of the preceding business day.
